The Multipurpose Fruit

The one tree that can probably be found along the shores and on the islands of each tropical region around the world is the Coconut Palm. This Palm has many qualities (its trunks where used by the Hawaiians to make small canoes), the most known being its fruit, the Coconut, which too is also extremely versatile.

When young, it carries a large amount of liquid, known as coconut water, that is both extremely refreshing and nutrient as it contains minerals, vitamins, dietary fiber, and antioxidants. Cocunut water is a great way to start the day off.

When it gets mature, the water is replaced by the classic white coconut meat, that can be then transformed into coconut milk. Coconut oil is also derived from the Coconut fruit.

But the uses don't stop here. In this shot, a coconut shell is used as a damming tool for a rice field.
